How are you different from the other guy?
We use only natural ingredients and sweeteners of the highest quality. We do not use Splenda, ie Sucralose, or typical energy drink ingredients like Taurine. We have a comprehensive nutrient blend including BCAA’s, Glutamine, Glucosamine, Quercetin, Omega 3s, and Vitamin D to help with performance and recovery.
When should I consume FitAID?
We recommend consuming FitAID 15 minutes before your workout and immediately upon completion. Our product was formulated for performance AND recovery, so consumption both before and after your workout is advised. And of course, when you’re not at the gym, FitAID is a healthy, refreshing and delicious beverage you can enjoy just about any time.
Is FitAID an energy drink?
NO! FitAID does utilize B-Complex as well as mild amounts of natural caffeine from green tea leaf extract, both of which are helpful in maintaining stamina and keeping you fueled during an intense workout. Notably absent though, are those ingredients most commonly found in energy drinks that can lead to the “jitters” later followed by a crash: high fructose corn syrup or sucralose and massive doses of caffeine, taurine and guarana. In contrast FitAID contains effective doses of supplements to get your body working in better synergy both during and after your workouts. That is why we call our one-of-a-kind products “synergy drinks.”
What makes FitAID superior to the other “functional” beverages on the market?
Our proprietary formula leverages the synergistic qualities of all natural ingredients to promote optimum physical performance and recovery. FitAID is not just a simple vitamin mixture. We think of our formulation as a targeted, complex, finely tuned symphony. Unlike other so-called “functional” drinks, the ingredients in our products are included in potent and effective amounts and are always of the highest quality and bioavailability.
What exactly does “All Natural” mean?
At FitAID we can proudly state that we are 100% compliant with the following official FDA definition of the word “natural”: “The product does not contain any artificial flavor or flavoring NO Sucralose, No Aspartame! no coloring ingredients or chemical preservatives, or any other artificial or synthetic ingredient; and the product and its ingredients are not more than minimally processed.”
Why aren’t your products zero or 15 calories per can like other products?
The single biggest challenge that faced the LifeAID team was to come up with an effective formula that also had a great flavor. You can bet that popular drinks that containing few or no calories use artificial sweeteners. The health risks of artificial sweeteners like sucralose and aspartame are becoming increasingly well-known. We guarantee that they will never be included in any LifeAID product. Although we do use natural zero calorie stevia as part of our sweetener blend, many consumers find the taste of stevia on its own to be unpleasant. That’s why we blend stevia with raw organic blue agave. With that combination, you could say that we hit the low calorie, low glycemic “sweet spot.” As an added plus, the agave provides a source of energy and it doesn’t cause your insulin levels to spike like other sweeteners such as high fructose corn syrup. Besides, your brain needs carbohydrates to properly function. We believe the 9 grams of carbs from the agave is minimal and a good compromise in order to produce a product that our fans actually enjoy drinking instead of forcing down.
What makes our product “Paleo-Friendly?”
One of the main tenets of the paleo diet is the consumption of food and drink that are minimally processed. Because FitAID is sweetened with raw organic blue agave, we are using a sweetener that isn’t processed at a temperature higher than found in nature (in the deserts of Mexico for instance, where our agave is farmed.) Agave is low on the glycemic index and avoids the typical insulin response caused by other sweeteners. In addition, many of the supplements found in our drink are compatible with the paleo diet including Omega 3 EFAs, Vitamin D, and natural (as opposed to synthetic) Vitamin E.
What are natural flavors?
While our specific blend of flavors is proprietary, all of them meet the stringent requirements of Whole Foods Market®. They do not contain any ingredients on the Whole Foods unacceptable list.
